Tax Audit Representation

Every business owner must prepare for the event of receiving a letter from a taxing authority or getting a visit from a field agent. If it is a simple matter and you think you can handle it, remember to be prompt, be complete and don’t overshare. In other cases, you’ll need to consult with tax advisors. And you should always do it sooner rather than later.

To properly work on your account, we will need a signed Power of Attorney to efficiently act on your behalf. Any negotiated settlement of your tax debt will always be presented to you for your approval.

Most cases can be resolved quickly with favorable results (this goes back to how organized your personal and business records are being kept and presented). We hope it can be resolved with just a phone call or letter.

However, if more time is involved or if we discover that additional assistance is needed (such as tax court and litigation), we will point you in the right direction.
